THE OCCASIONALS
About
Initially formed as a group of like-minded musicians wanting to play with others and enjoy their music, the Occasionals was formed in 2013 from a group of local guitarists and a drummer.
Over time and with many shed sessions to practice and play together, The Occasionals have formed a solid play list and developed themselves as a solid band performing across pubs, private functions and charity gigs.
Playing in regional towns such as Beaudesert, Kooralbyn, Park Ridge and Jimboomba has broadened their experience and has brought opportunities to entertain at Gasoline Alley (Ride to Fire Cancer – 3 years running), Jimboomba Relay for Life (2 years running) and most recently the Jimboomba Field Days (Rotary).
Additionally, they have played many special occasions including birthdays, Christmas parties and most recently a 100th anniversary function for the Russell Island State School.
This band has a gutsy Pub Rock sound, drawing on their love of ZZ Top, Rolling Stones, ACDC, Cold Chisel and many other favourite rock bands from the 70’s and 80’s.
Individually, each member has played for many years, bringing experience and reliability to The Occasionals. They have versatility in their ability to sing lead vocals as well as providing harmony and back up vocals.
